WHY MYBA EXISTS
The Game Gives Us
More Than Basketball.
For Coach Mark, basketball has been a source of direction, lasting friendships, and community. MYBA was built to pass those opportunities on to the next generation.
Founded in 2021, we’re rooted in the Korean-American community and welcome players from all backgrounds. Kids connect beyond their schools and churches, with room for beginners and players ready for the next challenge.
Our vision is to build a strong, welcoming basketball program where more families can afford to participate, players have room to grow, and teams and events bring our community together.

Basketball gave Coach Mark direction, friendships, and opportunities beyond the court. He founded MYBA in 2021 to share that experience with the next generation. Rooted in the Korean-American community and open to all, MYBA brings kids together to learn, grow, and belong.

CKBA brings adult basketball players together through a shared love of the game. We host open gyms, welcome new players, and build lasting friendships.
Each year, our selected team represents Chicago at the Korean Nationals or Korean Olympics, competing against top Korean basketball players from cities across North America.
